We are Kelly and Tamara and we are Platinum Leaders with Young Living!  We are passionate about educating and empowering people how to use essential oils and essential oil infused products to live a healthier lifestyle!

We love the products SO much and have experienced such great benefits…we decided to share with family and friends.  And then it snowballed into an amazing business and journey and we want to help you!!

Fall in Love with the Products

You are investing in YOU and YOUR family’s health by using Young Living products.

Branch out -> try the supplements, beauty products, make-up, cleaning products, and Ningxia red!

The most cost effective way to invest in YOUR business and totally fall in love with the products is to be at the 300 PV level on Essential Rewards. By investing in the higher PV level, means YOU get all the FREE products for that particular month. And guess what? YOU can use those FREE products as giveaways for your team, incentives, promotions, gifts or samples to people.

YOUR monthly ER order becomes YOUR wellness box and YOU can begin buying products YOU usually buy at the grocery store or pharmacy!

Recommend the Products. Show people how to use the oils.

Most people will introduce others to the product and/or business the same way they were introduced. This is duplication at it’s finest.

There are different ways to introduce people to Young Living’s products and the business side. Some of YOU will be super comfortable on social media; some of YOU will love doing classes and some of YOU will excel at 1 on 1’s. You really don’t have to do all the things; just do some of the things listed below.

Do what is authentic to YOU and makes YOU shine. Simply put. Get in front of people. It really is a numbers game. The more people you educate and speak to the more YOU will INSPIRE and grow.

Host classes/parties/gatherings/workshops (whatever you want to call them) in person about the products and/or the business

Host online classes via FB or *Zoom about the products and/or the business

Have 1 on 1 meetings in-person or via *Zoom about the products and/or business

Leverage social media

Vendor events

Product Placement

**What is zoom? *Zoom ( is an interactive online video and online conference calling service,

that is free and similar to skype. You can have as little as 1 person on your call or many

people on your video call at once.

Find Others to do the Same

Ask. Just ask. Asking is the best way to get a YES or even a NO. But the more NO’s YOU get, the more it leads to a YES!!!

  • Ask someone to host an in-person class or online class via FB or Zoom with YOU.
  • Ask someone to meet for coffee (1 on 1) to discuss the “sharing side” of YL
  • Ask someone to meet for coffee (1 on 1) to discuss the oils
  • Ask someone to meet for coffee to just meet for coffee, and start to create a relationship
  • Ask someone to take a look at the 4 Year Career
  • Talk about YOUR abundant life on social media to peak curiosity
  • and so much more!

The key to duplication is making it simple – meaning ANYONE CAN SHARE. Set up your business in a way so that anyone – no matter the skill, experience, background, work history, age, etc. – can do it. Being a leader with Young Living means creating times where others say “I can do that!”.

Here are two BIG points to remember with duplication…


If members see you working on a fancy website, creating original graphics, taking professional photos, spending a fortune on business cards or printed materials, etc. then they will think they need to do it too to be successful in this business.

Most of us don’t have fancy websites or our own printed materials. Many of us don’t even have business cards. You don’t need any of that to be successful in this business. So be sure your members know that. All they need is their premium starter kit and our community to plug in new members.


This is so key when it comes to duplication. When you are consistent with your business – like teaching classes, following up, sharing on social media, showing others how to do the business, etc. – your team will do the same.

BUT if you are not consistent – like teach classes sporadically, don’t follow up, etc. – your team will do the same. So think about it… what do you want your team to duplicate? That’s what YOU need to do. That doesn’t mean you have to do classes, vendor events, and all the things. You choose your own way to share, but be consistent in HOW you share. Be consistent in HOW you follow up.

It doesn’t matter how big your team gets. You should always be enrolling new people, getting them on ER, and sharing the business and finding new enrollers. That’s how you get from starter kit to diamond and beyond. Keep duplicating what you want your team to do.

Got a friend who wants to learn about oils? Schedule a 1:1 at a time that works for them. Meet at a coffee shop and bring your starter kit. Or invite them over to your home when the kids are at school or during lunch break. There are so many possibilities. We have some people on our team who have built entire businesses around 1:1s. It’s a great way to get practice and connect with people.

2 ways to do this authentically…

Ask someone to meet for coffee with the intent of bringing up the oils. When YOU reach out to someone, YOU ask them to meet to learn about YL and the oils.

Ask someone to meet for coffee for the only reason to meet for coffee or tea. Of course, the topic will probably come up. But this 1 on 1 is to build a relationship vs sell sell sell. 🙂

1 on 1’s are super powerful when done authentically.


or…parties/gatherings/workshops (whatever YOU want to call them) in-person or on *zoom about the products and/or the business.

Here are the basics to host a class…..

  • YOU can host classes in-person or online!
  • Pick a date a couple weeks out to give people time to plan..
  • Promote it on social media, send out text messages, or talk about the class when you meet up in person (at work, soccer practice, the gym, etc.).
  • Teach the class at your home or even a coffee shop and use our class script. (find below). I personally love just sitting around my kitchen table and passing the oils around for people to try out, while using the script to add in a bit of information about what oils are and how they work. I find that 3-5 people is ideal for this. So don’t feel like you need to prepare a formal presentation in front of dozens of people.

TIP: Read the script a few times to yourself, and then ask a few people if you can do a practice class with them. We’ve had some members on this team actually sign-up friends from their first practice class.

**Keep in mind, ‘classes’ can also be held online via Facebook, Instagram, Skype, or Zoom (conference call website).


One of the easiest ways to share oils with others is through your social media. Just think about it… you can share a post about how Frankincense and Lavender has made your skin look amazing. So much so that you were carded for your ID the last time you got a bottle of wine at the store. WOW! That would be compelling. Your friends would no doubt like and comment on that post, and then ASK where they can get Frankincense and Lavender too.

It’s so easy to share how you use oils on social media – and the best part is you can share with so many people at once. Whether your friend list is 200, 500 or 1,000, believe it or not YOU are an influencer. You provide a recommendation and others will want to know more.

But there’s a technique here… You want to focus on sharing, not selling. That means avoid that post that says, “Buy a kit from me and I’ll get you a free bottle of Orange.” Or “I’m trying to get to Star, can you help me buy a kit?”

Why doesn’t this work? Because it’s about YOU, not the other person. You aren’t helping anyone by selling. Yet, when you share your testimonials of how oils have helped you – then you provide value. You help someone who has a similar need.

In addition to sharing, social media is a great way to build relationships. Reconnect with people from former jobs, previous neighbors, old friends, or even high school. Find out how they’re doing. Don’t make the relationship about the oils. Just see how others are doing and build relationships. In time, you’ll find that they will have a need. That’s when you can fill that need and share oils. You can even use social media to find new friends – such as meeting people in Facebook Groups for similar interests, like homesteading, cloth diapers, or real food or using the #glutenfree hashtag on Instagram.

TIP: Don’t feel like you need to be on ALL social media networks. Focus on 1-2 that you’re already on now and feel comfortable with. Facebook is an easy choice as most people are on it.

This can be a great way to reach people you don’t know (we call this your cold market). Anyone can do vendor events – it just takes a little practice and a solid strategy. HINT: It’s not just about passing out your business cards.

Most of us can relate to this… You’re at the grocery store, and you bring out your Stress Away to put on your neck. It’s been a looooong day. Someone behind you asks you, “What’s that? It smells so good!”

Or how about this… You’re at the soccer field for your kid’s tournament. You take out a bottle of Deep Relief and put it on your kid’s knees during halftime. A mom comes up to you and says, “What is that? What does it do?”

While out for dinner, grab some YL enzymes before and after your meal. This will spike a conversation with those at the table!

These are examples of YOU using your oils in everyday life. You may have not even intended to share oils that day but you were using your oils and others NOTICED. This is a great way to share oils. Be a product of the product.


It’s not just about sharing ONE way. You can share multiple ways – such as teach classes, do 1:1s, share on social media, etc. In fact, we recommend at least 2-3 ways to share. Some people feel more comfortable doing 1:1s while others love to do classes. Work with your strengths, yet try new ways to share. You may have some hidden skills (like rockin’ vendor events) that you didn’t even know you had. 👏👏👏

And one more thought… don’t fall into the trap of feeling like you need to be the expert on all things oils.

You don’t need to be the expert and know all the uses of every oil or the chemistry behind why it works for the body. If others ask about that, you can direct them to to look up oils for health concerns or so they can get a reference book on oils.

Share your EXPERIENCES. Share your STORIES. That takes a lot of pressure on feeling the need to know EVERYTHING about oils right? The same will go for your members. They will learn how to share with others without needing to be the expert when the see YOU do the same.


As YOU can see most is all about sharing the products with others, BUT YOU can totally do all the above with sharing the opportunity and business with people.

Introduce people to the 4 Year Career. Discuss as a way to grow their YL business.

 YOU just learned about how to create duplication and how to share the oils and the business with others. But how do YOU get them to see the bigger picture? How do YOU get them to see the lifestyle change YL can create?

Good. Better. Best.

You’ll have a friend or family member who will want to just try a bottle of oil rather than get the Premium Starter Kit. If that happens, remember: GOOD BETTER BEST!

So, there are really THREE ways to order these amazing products. It’s kind of a good, better, best scenario.

The first option is as a RETAIL CUSTOMER. It’s a good option, because you get great products, but that’s about it. It may be the way to go for you if you’re only wanting to buy one bottle of lavender and you never want to order again.

The second option is as our WHOLESALE MEMBER. It’s better because you get the same products as the first option, but you get them at 24% off. Think Costco except that Young Living doesn’t charge you an annual membership fee as long as you order $50 a year, which, I promise you, you will. And there are no monthly minimums or re-ordering requirements.

The third and best option, it’s how we get our favorite Young Living products, is as a VIP Essential Rewards member. It’s like Costco meets Amazon, meets your cash-back credit card, only we do it better. With this, you get all of the benefits of the first two options, except you get discounted shipping, you earn points back on all of your Young Living purchases, and you get free gifts at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months. The gift at 12 months is an oil called “Loyalty” that you cannot otherwise buy. You start out earning 10% back on all of your purchases, then you go up to 20% after 3 months, and eventually end up earning 25%. It’s really an amazing program.


Okay, so now you’re ready to talk to others about oils… how do you do it without being salesy? It’s so simple: SHARE. That’s really it. Don’t got in with the mindset of selling a kit. Think about how you can fill a need for someone and share your oily stories.

For instance, a mom with kids who take forever to go to sleep at night. That’s a mom who has a need. She needs help getting her kids to sleep. Can you help to fill that need? YES! Talk to her about Peace and Calming on the bottom of the feet or Cedarwood/Lavender in the diffuser. Easy peasy, right?

When you have that mindset of sharing and educating others about oils, you won’t EVER feel salesy. You’ll feel like you’re helping others. You’re filling a need for someone who may have been searching for that VERY thing you know oils can do. That’s a total mind shift isn’t it?



Each month Young Living has promotions, usually at the 100, 190, 250 and 300 pv levels.  These are FREE products that you get for spending that amount!

Often the 300 pv level can be over $200 in FREE products!  Don’t forget to take advantage of those promos…and educate your team on that as well!


Get YOUR kit and/or YOUR friends and family kit paid for!

Have a friend host a class in-person or online and when they enroll a new person they will get a referral check!

This is the breakdown of what you earn when someone buys a premium starter kit…

$25 for the Starter Kit Bonus

25% commissions for the first 3 months for the Fast Start Bonus – that 25% commission is based on 100 PV (personal volume), which is $25 (the Premium Starter Kit is 100 PV even though the actual cost is $160, that’s the PV value)

So let’s say you sign up a friend with a Premium Starter Kit and earn $50. If that friend orders again in month 2 or 3, then you earn 25% commissions on that order. Plus, you earn 10% commissions on anyone your new person signs up too. WHAT?! YES!

Now imagine when you get 3 people to sign-up for a Premium Starter Kit. You’ll earn $150 (which pretty much covers the cost of your OWN kit). Pretty exciting, right?

What to do next? Help your members learn to SHARE easily with others!!!   They don’t have to ‘build a biz’!!!

  • Tell them they can get their premium starter kit paid for when 3 friends sign up.
  • Offer to teach their first class for them. Tell them to bring their friends and you’ll do all the work.
  • Give them their own sign-up link so they can easily share their link with others.
  • Talk about sharing right after you teach a class on oils.
  • Share about the freedoms (big or small) that Young Living has provided you!
