Happy Holidays!

I can hardly believe that the end of the year is just around the corner!!  I absolutely love this time of year.  The holidays, the people, the FOOD, the special traditions.  My kids are just so much fun, too.  I love watching the wonder and excitement bloom on their faces as we get closer and closer to Christmas day.  I am thankful for so much in my life, and I just wanted to write a few things down here on this very special day.

Traditions

I just love our family traditions that we have started over the years.  Every year we host a Gingerbread House Competition/Party for our friends.  This is an adult party complete with much entertainment and a trophy for the winner!  It is such fun and I am truly blessed by all the people who continue to come year after year, despite all of the other invitations and parties they get invited to.  

For the past 9 years, we and two other families, head up into the White Mountains to find our Christmas tree.  We cram all of us into my parent's cabin and venture out into the woods to cut down our tree.  It is a trip that I look forward to each and every year and it has been so fun watching our children grow into this tradition as well.  Check us out, great tree this year (the one on the right!):

Young Living

The decision to bring Young Living into our business 2 years ago was one of the best things we have done for ourselves.  We have met incredible, beautiful people.  We have traveled to farms and visited places we otherwise wouldn't have had the chance to.  We have been blessed by the incredible benefits of the oils and  our families are enjoying the benefits as well.  The residual income that comes Young Living brings to us each and every month continues to surprise and amaze us.  We get to share such a wonderful thing with people all over the world and get paid to do it.  Young Living allows me to work from home, part time, and gain financial freedom that I never thought possible.  I seriously pinch myself.  

Tamara

This woman.  Our paths crossed via a mutual friend 11 years ago when she received a gift made by me.  Then, when over the years we realized we had mutual real food interests, we started chatting more.  And when our mutual friend suggested we start a blog and write all about it, we did.  Not having EVER met in person.  Tamara took a chance on me and saying I am thankful for her doesn't quite feel like an adequate word.  The grace she has given me over the years (for my mistakes, my forgetfulness…), and continues to give, is a profound gift and I am unsure I can ever express just what that means to me.  Tamara is truly a blessing in my life and I am thankful each and every day I jumped blogging journey with her.

You!

I am just so blessed by and thankful for YOU.  You come here day after day, enjoying our recipes and tips and tricks that we share.  It is because of you that I get to do what I love!  I just love what I do – educating people on how to adopt a real food lifestyle, how to ferment, how to detox homes and lives – the list goes on and on.  Thank you from the very bottom of my heart!
