I don't have a huge sweet tooth, to be honest. But these dark chocolate peppermint truffles are AH-MAZING! I make them in bulk and keep in my freezer. They are perfect for a little sweet, chocolatey bite. They sort of remind me of a peppermint patty…but WAY better (and better for you).
If I am going to eat sweets, they are generally not ‘too' sweet, like the flourless chocolate brownies or homemade chocolate chip cookies or Kelly's pecan bars. I don't think desserts are bad for you…it all depends on what the ingredients are! Even hot cocoa and marshmallows can be healthy!
If I am going to eat dessert, it better be made with nourishing ingredients.
My good friend, Lindsey, over at Homemade Mommy came up with this recipe and it has become a staple in our house. I serve these at all of the Young Living Essential Oil classes that I teach locally. I usually double the recipe and store in the freezer. What is great is they don't freeze solid, so if you need a dark chocolate fix, you can just reach right in and pop one in your mouth!!!
You guys have to try these! They are seriously amazing!
