Homemade Jewelry Cleaner

I will admit, I am not good at keeping jewelry sparkling and clean! I rarely take off my rings and earrings and they get coated in soap, dirt and just general ‘gunk'. But this homemade jewelry cleaner makes it easy to do and is non-toxic, too!
I do love when I stop by a jewelry store and they clean my engagement ring for me, though. I am always amazed at how sparkly and pretty it really is when it is clean! I decided to make a diy jewelry cleaner so I could easily clean my jewelry at home!
I used to use a store bought jewelry cleaner but I ran out and never replenished my supply. I am not sure what the ingredients were but it is so easy (and cost effective) to make your own, I really haven't even bothered to look at them at the drug store.
Kelly and I are both trying to detoxify our beauty cabinets and this is just one more way! We love cleaning our home with natural homemade cleaners and Thieves Household cleaner in our effort to get rid of toxic cleaners in our home.

DIY Jewelry Cleaner
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Thieves Household Cleaner
- 2 tbsp vodka
- 2 drops Lemon or Tea Tree Essential Oil
Instructions
- Combine ingredients in a small glass jar.
- Add jewelry and soak for 30 minutes.
- Brush gently with a soft toothbrush.
- Rinse well under water.
